Volumental was founded by Caroline Walerud, Alper Aydemir, Miroslav Kobetski and Rasmus Göransson in December 2012. Since its founding Volumental has grown from four founders to a team of 20 people from 7 countries. Our technology is being used by leaders in consumer fashion who use customer data to customize products and personalize the shopping experience. In September 2014 we announced a $3 million seed investment to pursue our vision of a fully customized future.

Volumental’s team hails from the world’s top institutions, and has logged time at leading business and tech companies. We’ve studied and researched at institutions including Cambridge, Oxford, Stanford, Columbia, KTH and NASA/JPL, and our team includes five PhD level computer vision researchers. Together we bring expertise in 3D reconstruction, computer vision, programming and business development to allow users easy access to the 3D revolution. Our tech founders and professor advisor hold 4 patents and have founded four startups. In 2015 Wired named Volumental one of Europe's hottest startups.
